Right, I seem to have solved this by completely updating Windows - which I thought was already up to date since it updates automatically.

I initially thought it was a registry problem so I went to seek solving that first. Apparently updating 'repairs'? To correct it I went to Windows Update, checked for updates and downloaded all the necessary updates even though I was mostly up to date. Then, if you go to Windows Update again and check for updates it comes up with less important optional updates and I downloaded and installed those too.

But OneDrive file re-sync was definitely an issue after the re-install. My computer seems to be working fine, I put a ssd in the laptop and clone the windows.

So far everything seems to be working perfectly, everything as it should have been in the first place. Just in case I am going to format again to have a clean install on the ssd but now it is working times better than before. I want to clarify that I ran about 5 programs that tell me that the hdd disk that comes from the factory is working perfectly.
